Mission Statement
Through a unique partnership with diverse communities of faith, Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) provides emergency shelter, meals and supportive services to homeless families in the Greater Denver area.

The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Denver along with over 50 congregations, assist homeless families by providing temporary shelter, meals, transportation and assistance finding work, housing, counseling and supportive services.
IHN operates under the model of "hospitality". Volunteers are the program's "hosts" and the families staying in the Network are our "guests".
We work to meet the guests' basic human needs with a spirit of warmth and compassion.

Success Story
A family's story, in their own words, of how IHN was able to assist them back to self-sufficiency.
IHN is not a traditional shelter but a special group of people who accepted us with open arms in our time of need. I, my daughter and granddaughter literally had nowhere to go. With no family here we didn’t know what to do. We lived in a nice condo for 2 ½ years, I took care of my granddaughter all day while my daughter went to work. In May she lost her job, unfortunately leaving us with no income whatsoever, which caused us to be evicted. I’m holding back tears now because I miss all the warmth and kindness we received from IHN. My daughter applied for TANF the day after we got into the network and through the help from staff she received the much needed assistance. After spending time studying while in the program she also received her GED. My granddaughter is in daycare and getting smarter by the day. The IHN family was so supportive of us, informing us of job fairs and other opportunities. I got a part time job while in the program. It was different having to pack every Saturday to move on Sunday. But every church we moved to had people as open and kind to us as the last. Whatever we needed was provided to us graciously. We didn’t feel homeless; we were made to feel special. Our case worker is a special friend. And we use the techniques we learned from parenting classes on a daily basis. IHN would be proud that we are using the budget list and job interview techniques that we learned in the Life skills classes. The staff, busy or not, stopped whatever they were doing to assist us and to listen. They all allowed us time to get back on our feet. We have faith that our friends at IHN will be there for us if we need anything as we start our new beginning!
Sincerely, Gina, Tiffany and Emory
